A dead man walking!

Though I am dead, I still walk, talk and sing praises to God my King.

When he died, I was there with him on that cross, reconciled to God and not

to ever suffer loss.

That day I died and no longer live for sin and pride, for it is Christ who lives in me,

which I cannot hide.

A new life has begun; this hidden treasure within me is the glory of God given to

me through his Son.

This is the same Shekinah Glory of God that was in his Temple in the Bible we do

read but when Jesus died, from that Temple the Glory did leave.

Now God dwells in Temples not made by hands, they are believers in Jesus, found

in all lands.

All these dead people walking and talking but it is not them but Christ who lives to offer the world Eternal Life which only he can give!

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3 KJV.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 NLT.

We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.  2-Corinthians 4:7 NLT.

However, the Most High doesn’t live in temples made by human hands. As the prophet says, Acts 7:48 NLT.

And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said:

“I will live in them
and walk among them.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people 2-Corinthians 6:16 NLT.

My darkness and my light.

I love the early morning sunrise with the birds singing, the dark night receding.

A new day has been born and for that I sing a new song!

In my meditation on this day I did ponder of the darkness of the many years I did wander.

It was a time of much pain and sorrow, no hope for tomorrow.

I loved the darkness for it hid my sin but not from the Lord who saw it from within.

One day his glorious light did shine upon my soul, his conviction of my evil fallen

nature led me to the only one who could make me whole.

Jesus said to me; “You are my friend and I will be with you to the end”.

Then my darkness did flee, never to return, now I know, salvation cannot be earned.

If you have a longing for light and pray for spiritual sight, you will find him, and know that you are his delight!

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12 NLT.

How long Lord?

How long before you cause this evil world’s sin to cease?

When will we see your Christ’s rule of this world, bringing us much Joy and peace?

As a young man many years ago, a different Nation I did see,

we all sang America the beautiful, my country tis of thee!

Truly our Land was filled with liberty, purchased by great men

of valor who defeated our enemies as the entire world did see.

Morality then was something to uphold, those who did practice sin, never wanted their story told.

Today the Gates of Hell have gone forward, the evil ones, their works we do behold.

Much evil has rushed in like a flood, Satan has offered many pleasures beyond measure, and he has become very bold.

He says; your sins prove you belong to me, a small price I require,

it’s just your soul, a small matter to you I see.

Not everyone is caught in his web of deceit, true Christians will never bow at Satan’s feet.

The judgment of this world and Satan is near, the sign of the Son of man in the sky will appear, the Great Tribulation upon those who hate God will be something great to fear!

Before the Great Tribulation takes place, his Bride the Church, will rise to meet their Savior and King in the skies.

We will live and reign with him in his 1000 year Kingdom on this earth, what a blessing it will be, all because of the new birth!

*He is like a roaring Lion, looking for someone to eat, those without the Lord Jesus, Satan they cannot defeat.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 1-Peter 5:8 NLT.

The “Good News” is Jesus defeated the Prince of this world at the Cross. All those who call upon him through believing will be saved and translated from Satan’s Kingdom to the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus. At the Last Supper the Lord prayed a special prayer for all believers. He asked that they be kept safe by the Father and that the evil one not touch them, both prayers were answered!

“I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, the name which you have given me, that they may be one even as we are. John 17:11 NASB.

I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. John 17:15 NLT.

Every believer who comes to Jesus is a gift from the Father as Jesus himself proclaimed!

“All that the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will certainly not cast out. John 6:37 NASB.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Hey moms, hope many good things this day come your way.

We miss our moms who have gone to a better place but remember their

smiling face and warm embrace.

No matter what the heartbreak or care, mom was always there, her soft words did deliver us from despair.

She was tireless in her work and cooking, all the little things she did when

no one was looking.

For family and friends, her love had no end; her joy was with them, much

happy time to spend.

Now on this day as the sun does rise, I think of mom with tears in my eyes, but be still my soul, she is in Heaven, far beyond the skies.

Dedicated to our moms; Angie and Marian.

Gravity, magnets and other invisible things!

How does gravity hold us down, with our feet planted on the ground?

How do planes and birds in the air do fly, this too I wonder why?

Two magnets that face each other draw close as a little kid I did discover,

turn them around and they will repel each other!

*God’s laws are always sound, one holds us up, the other pulls us down.

We know we cannot defy God’s law, when we stumble and fall, we will hit the

floor!

Look to Jesus, he is the way, the truth and the door!

*Though God is invisible we can see his infallible laws that rule our creation.

For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. Colossians 1:16 NIV.

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Romans 1:20 NLT.

“I am the door; if anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. John 10:9 NASB.

Do you know if you are going to Heaven?

Or have you been eating of the bread that contains leaven?

Those who eat the bread with leaven die; it comes from those who preach God’s word with a lie.

What is this leaven you may ask, it is a poison that will spoil the whole

loaf as Jesus did say, he alone is the unleavened bread from Heaven by the way!

What the evil Pharisees offered the people that day was a bread with Satan’s leaven to lead them astray; it still exists in some Churches until this day. It is the Law through the commandments of men, not of grace and liberty but of works of man pleasers for all to see. Their condemnation is sure as the Judge of the earth is at the door.

No leaven means to be without sin, what those Pharisees offered could not cleanse from within.

They loved the Law and their own righteousness so all could see, they professed that it is the only way to be justified before thee.

The Law in all its glory and holiness was never meant for us to obey, it is a strict school teacher God gave to us to guide us to Jesus for he is the only way.

Before Christ came, Moses’ laws served as our guardian. Christ came so that we could receive God’s approval by faith. Galatians 3:24 God’s Word.

He alone kept all the Law from A to Z; he did it for you and me!

He is the unleavened one, true bread from above, the sinless Lamb, God

the word, the Son, through him only the battle is won.

Trying to be good will not make you right with God, you need a Jewish lawyer who in your place did trod.

He is the broken unleavened bread who died in your stead, he took your place before our righteous God and Father, in you he now sees Jesus and looks no farther!

*Now you sins are gone forever, white as snow, no longer can he remember them; for far from him did they go!

*He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west Psalm 103:12 NLT.

I remember being at a Passover Seder, I remember that the broken Matzah that was hidden represented Jesus suffering and death on the cross. When it was found there was rejoicing, this represented his resurrection and victory over sin and death. This Seder and what it meant was taught to us by a Jewish believer.

I dedicate this poem to my brother in the Lord Danny Siegel.

His wounds are healings in disguise!

God’s word says; Faithful are the wounds of a friend. I know Lord, that you will be with me, even to the end.

When I rode my bike this morning, the birds were singing, my wife was yawning.

As I peddled on my way, I thought, what a beautiful day. I had no idea of what this morning would bring, from out of nowhere did the Hornet sting. Under my sunglasses it had crawled, much panic to me it did bring!

Down from my bike I fell, broken sunglasses and bruises as well.

Questions then filled my mind; I knew it was not an accident, so it must be a sign!

I prayed to the Lord with a sigh, did you allow this little sting because of a beam in my eye?

I have examined myself and found, there were some areas God revealed to me that were not sound.

*I remember hearing; “Practice what you preach”, also listen to what you teach!

**I learned a valuable lesson that day, God’s correction will bring you back to the godly way!

I know all the trials I go through are working something special within and whom the Lord loves, he corrects and delivers from sin.

His Rod and Staff truly comfort me as brother David did say, I am the sheep of his fold, his righteousness I process every day.

*Teaching is a gift of the Holy Spirit. Paul the Apostle told the Evangelist Timothy to pay attention to his own teaching because he was a vessel and the teaching was from God through the Holy Spirit.

Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers; because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly James 3:1 NIV. God examines more closely the teachers of his word and will chastise those more severely if they are not careful for the truth and the “Rightly Dividing” of his word, false teachers (Unbelievers) are cut off.

**because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as “his son.” Hebrews 12:6 NLT.

If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. Hebrews 12:8 NLT.

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11 NIV.

Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy. Proverbs 27:6 NLT.

Blessings to all on this our Lord’s Day!

Gehazi, a servant or an enemy?

Not a name like you or me, he was the Prophet’s servant to do his bidding,

was he loyal, are you kidding!

Naaman was a great warrior for his King, for him killing was no big thing.

One day to his surprise, the scourge of leprosy upon his skin did arise.

His fear became great; he sought the Prophet Elisha before death became his fate!

He had been told by his wife’s Israeli servant that he could be healed in her

native land Israel, so it was his desire to there be sent.

After his King he had told of his hope of healing, the King was touched and said “Go”, for Naaman, he had much good feeling.

He was given a letter for the King of Israel to bring, Gold and Silver to pay for everything.

When told to dip seven times in the water, he did hesitate but the Prophet’s servant convinced him this to do, before it was too late.

After the seventh time under, this man became yours Lord, another wonder, delivered from being a man of thunder.

A new heart he had been given, now he only desired righteous living.

He proclaimed that the God of Israel is the one true God who he did adore, sin and evil he now did deplore, false Gods he would serve no more!

One problem he found and asked the Prophet Elisha, when with my King in his Temple, we both are required to bow down.

Go in peace the Prophet said, for he knew Naaman was a new man within, *God saw his heart and knew that this act was no sin.

He offered much Silver and Gold to pay the Prophet for the salvation of his soul.

The Prophet refused any payment but to Gehazi this great wealth was one to be used.

Naaman had left rejoicing in his healing; going on his way, Gehazi waylaid him saying; nothings free, there is a price to pay!

So Naaman gave Gehazi much Silver, Gold and clothes which inside his house he hid but Elisha, God’s Prophet knew what he did.

God punished Gehazi with leprosy a symbol of sin, an outward sign of an evil heart within.

**Naaman’s joy did fall, as he thought; God’s gift was not free after all.

Like Judas as well, Gehazi was one straight from the Gates of Hell.

*God looks at the heart. 1-Samuel 16:7 NASB.

**There are modern day Gehazi’s, they are called the “Tares” they are in the Churches, like Gehazi, they will try to steal your joy of salvation by telling you must earn it by works, a price to pay. New Christians may swallow their false doctrines and be led astray, the Lord Jesus used the term “Woe” as to their fate before God.

Salvation through Jesus Christ produces Good Works, Good works never produce Salvation, if they did you would have a reason to boast!

Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:9 NLT.

Jesus, the only sinless one!

*He was not of the seed of Adam; he was born of the Holy Spirit, in love from above.

In God’s creation, all creatures, plants and man reproduced by their seed and only after their kind! (Genesis 1:12)

Descended from Adam and Eve, today this remains the same we find.

How can Jesus identify with us and yet be born without sin? It is because Adam’s seed was not found in him!

From a woman’s egg in the womb does a male or female fetus grow, which one it will be is determined through a man by his seed, did you know?

To be the descendant of the promise through Abraham and David,

he had to be of Mary’s flesh, and this was to be, as the scriptures do show.

Thus he could not sin, because he did not have our fallen nature within!

Satan tempted him and it was tough but it only proved that Jesus

was a diamond in the rough.

After the tests Satan did leave defeated, he had enough.

Who is this beautiful man from Galilee, he is Jesus our Lord and

Savior, the sinless Lamb of God sent to die for you and me.

*I dedicate this poem to my brother in the Lord Larry and his wife Samantha. It was Larry who told me many years ago how he wrestled with Jesus not have the fallen nature passed on to all flesh through Adam and Eve. The Lord spoke to him in his mind; he told him that Jesus was not of the seed of Adam. This is what inspired my writing of this poem. The first Adam failed; the second Adam Jesus, could not fail having the God nature within. This is the “New Creation”, the New Man, God the Son, who is immediately given to every new Christian upon belief! This is the continuing work of the Holy Spirit in regeneration.

Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 NASB.

Why should I deny myself?

What Lord, of wine, women, song and wealth?

I do know that not all things are good for one’s health!

Why can’t I have my pie in the sky? Is it because you said those who practice bad things may die?

Do you really care how much people suffer and have much dismay today?

But I do recall your words on one particular day, it is finished you did say, something miraculous had come the sinners way!

You totally denied yourself to become a man of our kind; you laid aside the power and glory as God the Son which was always thine.

All your righteousness now is mine, a peace that passes all understanding, now I do find.

To deny bad things in your life will give you relief from stress and strife.

Drunkenness is something you can’t afford to be, and it is not the will of our Lord.

Remember not everything is a sin, he will guide you to do right by

*the conscience he gave you within. To deny yourself is to put your own will on the shelf.

Seek to do his will which pleases him and then your abundant life will begin!

*The conscience is the light given to all mankind born into this world of darkness that has existed since the fall of Adam. As the Apostle Paul wrote, even those who have not heard God’s word will be judged by their conscience which will accuse or excuse them.

The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. John 1:9 NLT.
