To those who doubt God’s existence.
Look in the mirror!
Do you know what you are seeing? You are seeing God’s image and likeness. In fact, Jesus calls you gods! Jesus answered them, “Has it not been written in your Law, ‘I SAID, YOU ARE GODS ‘? John 10:34 NASB. Jesus was referring to Psalm 82:6 which says we are gods, created in His own image and likeness. His offspring but not “The” God Almighty. And without Faith you will die like mere men.
Let me give you some food for thought. For those who doubt God’s existence. Why is man the only one who can worship God? Does your dog or cat go to Church? They look in a mirror and see another dog or cat; they do not have a self-awareness and a desire to worship something as humans do. (As Paul the Apostle said in the Book of Romans, they rejected God and turned to the worship of the Creation instead of the Creator. God gave them up to depraved minds).
How about the Creation itself, if you leave God out, how did it come into existence? Some of those who believe in evolution, when asked this question state that it began with the Hydrogen Atom. When asked where this Atom came from, they reply; “Out of nothing”. That has to be Faith but unfortunately it is not God’s saving Faith.
Throw in all the laws of the Creation, Aerodynamics, gravity and the rest which show an intelligence working in it all. As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ I know that Adam and Eve were the most intelligent people that ever lived. Adam named all the creatures. They both had 100% unhindered use of their brains. Today we are told we only have 10% use of our brains? Sin entered and men’s minds were darkened. From Adam up to today men have become limited in brain use through genetic defects, sickness, disease and other bad things sin has brought. We are not like the Neanderthal man who some say grew more intelligent over thousands of years (He may have been smarter). Also consider comparing the Hydrogen Atom popping into existence out of nothing to an intelligent being known to us as the Eternal God revealed through His Holy word. In comparing Evolution to Creation I remember an example given. Remember, Evolution is “Blind” chance and they throw in “Natural Selection”, whatever that is? The Evolution example is you take a Webster’s Dictionary, separate every letter into pieces. Throw them all up in the air and they fall into the exact way they were before they were cut up.
I believe God has a sense of humor, He made Apes, Monkeys that have some resemblance to man, they have intelligence but I have not yet seen one praying! Someone said; “If we came from Apes, why are they still around?” Next time you look in the mirror think about what you are seeing? Is it a random act of Creation from some pond slime or you the very image of God Himself? According to the word of God, what hope could one have who rejects Jesus. For when they die, is that it? On the other hand, the Lord Jesus offers Eternal Life. Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28 NLT. I give them eternal life, they will never be lost, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. John 10:28 ISV.
Consider this, if Evolution was a fact, there would be more transitional fossil stages found than the end results. A simple example would be a “Cube” evolving into a “Square”; the transitional changes would vastly outnumber the Cube and the Square! These “Transitional” stages are not found today. If Evolution were true, they would be found in great numbers everywhere! Besides, if a lizard grew a feather he would bite it off, if not, they would be rejected by a potential mate. God has created all creatures to reproduce “After their kind” (Genesis 1:24). There is variety among the species. You can have many different types of dogs or cats, each restricted to their own species. The same holds true for all the species God created, they reproduce after their “Kind” only! Deformity and abnormalities are rejected by all species in order that the healthy normal creature prevails. As humans, created in God’s image, we have many opportunities to help the afflicted and the poor as Jesus said. Some may have deformities and abnormalities of their bodies, but they all have a Soul and a spirit. Through Faith in Jesus they will receive a perfect new body when the Lord returns!
Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is 1-John 3:2 NASB.
